The QUBe SQU is a multi-discharge, double skinned fan unit incorporating the high performance backward curved Ziehl-Abegg RH-C impeller designed specifically for operation without a scroll. Supplied for straight through airflow with the outlet panel positioned directly opposite the inlet panel, but the outlet panel can be easily exchanged on-site to provide 90° airflow if required.

Material strength

Self supporting corrosion-resistant extruded Aluminium section, assembled with shock resistant fibreglass reinforced Polyamide PA6 corners ideally suited for general ventilation applications.

Motor performance

Three phase multi-voltage IP55 TEFC motor, wound for either (Delta) 230V/3Ph/50Hz or (Star) 400V/3Ph/50Hz connection, which is mounted using a unique low loss X-frame internal mounting arrangement, improving performance, and reducing noise generation, suitable for speed control with the Eltadrive VSD range of frequency inverter controls.
Motors are pre-wired to an IP55 terminal box mounted on the side, for easy customer connection.

Quality Impeller Design

High efficiency backward curved impellers with non-overloading power characteristics.

Choice

Straight through airflow as supplied. Discharge position can be altered on site.

Quality assurance

All QUBe units are to be tested to ISO 5801:2007 (airside performance) and BS 848 Part 2: 1985 (sound performance).

Ease of installation

All models are designed for direct connection to standard diameter flexible or rigid circular ducting with 50mm long spigots for ease of connection. Each spigot has an integral E PDM (Ethylene Propylene), UV + Ozone stable and resistant rubber seal which has a U shaped profile.

Full accessory range

Flexible connectors, attenuators, Eltadrive VSD frequency inverter controls, Eltadrive VSD frequency inverters (1Ph and 3Ph supply).

Casing

Constructed from self supporting corrosion-resistant extruded Aluminium section, assembled with shock resistant fibreglass reinforced Polyamide PA6 corners, and 25mm thick Double skinned fully inter-changeable removable panels, manufactured from pre-galvanised steel, in-filled with a non flammable mineral wool, 60kg/m3, thereby minimising breakout noise.


Motors

Three phase multi-voltage IP55 TEFC Foot / Flange mounted IEC frame motors, wound for either (Delta) 230V/3Ph/50Hz or (Star) at 400V/3Ph/50Hz connection, suitable for speed control when used with the Eltadrive VSD range of frequency inverter controls.

Motors are pre-wired to an IP55 terminal box mounted on the side, for easy customer connection.


Impellers

A high efficiency backward curved welded steel impeller with a non-overloading power characteristic, finished with a powder coating to RAL 5002 for greater surface protection, and dynamically balanced to G2.5 / G6.3 according to ISO1940 part 1.


Quality Management

Units are to be designed and manufactured with procedures as defined in BS EN ISO 9001: 2008. All QUBe units are to be tested to ISO 5801:2007 (airside performance) and BS 848 Part 2: 1985 (sound performance).

Tests and preparation of the sound data have been carried out in accordance with BS 848 Part 2:1985 at 50% peak pressure. The In-Duct Sound Power Level Spectra are in dB re-1pW.
The overall A-weighted sound pressure level is at a distance of 3m with spherical free-field propagation. It is expressed in dB re-20μPa and is presented for comparative purposes only.
