Safety

SMT fans are IPX4 Splash proof, protected against water splashing from all directions which means they can be safely installed in Zones I and II in accordance with Building Regulations.

Design appeal

The compact design means the SMT is ideal where space is at a premium such as ceiling voids and refurbishment projects.

Motor protection

Each SMT motor is double insulated so no earth is required with integral thermal overload protection which prevents the motor from overheating.

Installer friendly simplicity.

SMT fans can be mounted in line or at either end of the ductwork, horizontally or vertically, as well as against walls, ceiling voids and other flat surfaces.

Range

There are four sizes, 100mm, 125mm, 150mm and 200mm which can be supplied with or without a run on timer and suitable for continuous running.

Flexibility

Available in all models as a two speed unit from a remote switch to give the installer a range of adjustment if duties are under or over achieving.

Easy to maintain

All SMT models feature a removable motor and impeller body which ensures easier cleaning without affecting the installation by having to remove the ductwork.

Casing

The all plastic casing provides a long lasting, robust and non-corrosive construction.

The units have been constructed from shockproof, heat resistant white plastic, with both motors and impellers mounted within the length of the unit casing.

All units are IPX4 protection and are splash proof as required by current regulations.

Motors

Motors are to be double insulated with in-built thermal overload protection, with sealed for life bearings, suitable for operating temperatures of up to +60℃.

Motors are to be wired to a terminal box mounted on the outside of the unit casing.

Impellers

Mixed flow impellers shall be provided with fixed blade angles to meet the required duty.

The impeller construction shall comprise of white plastic.

Quality Management

Units are to be designed and manufactured with procedures as defined in BS EN ISO 9001: 2008.

MultiflowSMT units are to be tested to ISO 5801:1997 (airside performance) and BS 848 Part 2: 1985 (sound performance).
